Cracking the Code

I took a trip yesterday to Barnes & Nobles book store, which by the way I use to love doing, but haven't had time to do in quite awhile, but that's besides the point. When doing so I stumbled upon some very interesting books on web development.

For some odd reason each time I go to the book store the only section that seems to bring some inspiration to me is the technical computing books area. I quickly grabbed hold of the Html, CSS & Javascript best looking and most appealing books they had there, which years back was pretty intimidating for me to do.

The fear of coding for me was due to the obvious, first off it all seems so foreign, with all the weird looking symbols and terms they use for coding languages. Secondly I think most people haven't had the time to train themselves on it all anyhow, unless they were enrolled in a college level program for such a mind boggling subject as coding truly is.

I'm sure most people will agree, that they too have had the same issue themselves one time or another, if not are still having such difficulty attempting to interpret these somewhat tough to understand web design codes today.

This time around though at the bookstore, something must have gotten in me because I was courageous & determined enough to give it my all by attempting to dive deeply into this tricky subject for the first time, without regard to this well known mental barrier of sorts.

Looking back at it all now, I'm really proud of myself for simply ignoring any previous fears or intimidation I've had in the past in not understanding them darncodes. This sudden new found courage must also have been due to the fact of being some what exposed to html for just about the 2 years now, & ever since I've been trying my hardest to learn all I can about web design overall.

The Difficulty has become Simplicity

This moment must have been a momentous occasion, because I discovered a few weeks before online, a way to decipher some of the html coding I been working with for the last two years, using cut & pasting techniques for my drag & drop web developments.

For some reason though the code just simply started making sense all of a sudden, and one day I began to investigate further into this odd occurrence that seemed to be happening to me. All this time I was afraid of getting into the coding languages, due to the long drawn out appearance of it's visual effect on my average minded brain. Well I thought my brain was somewhat average until two weeks ago, when it all started making sense to me, some how.

I think web design isn't for everyone, but its surely for the kinda of people who enjoy spending countless hours tinkering around into how things truly works. So I believe these types of individuals are some how attracted to the web & its design appeal that has allured the entire planet since its humble inception many years back. I actually remember when it was first revealed and became available to the public. Before the Internet, people used modems to communicate from one computer system to the next, and it wasn't how it is today, in no way.

I definitely remember them days because I was still a teenager back in the early 90's, and one of my best friends had one, he use to play with it and try to hack into other peoples systems even back then. I never liked the hacking part of using a computer I always wanted to become a computer programmer like Bill Gatesthough. However, I have admired all the hard earned efforts these great minds have put together to create all the display & technological advancements we all utilize & see today.

My coding literacy is a new awakening

Today I face an entirely new challenge, and that is to consume a great deal of web design knowledge & eventually fully implement these new learned skills into development. I already started experimenting with basic html, and css coding which has given me a new found confidence in the arena of coding sites.

I truly have no clue as to all the intense rules that goes into all the parameter based issues that multiple browsers face, in dealing with differing coding limitations, and or errors that can be caused by poorly written design code. Pretty much I'm no-longer stricken with the illiteracy of not knowing how to decode it all, or write it, now its time to do a great deal of research homework & practicing on my newly found skill.

I've already put some basic design concepts into action and now I will say goodbye to drag & drop for a while, here goes nothing. I will provide some cool updates as too how my progress is going, in this hub as time goes along. I will also make some informative Youtube videos, for others to see how far I'm actually getting on a week to week basis.

You never know I might just become the next 'Mark Zuckerburg' still unknown, just awaiting to be discovered. I won't know until I get to the web design-coding finish line sort to speak, but until then I'll be on my way in hot pursuit of this achievable dream, to one day become a well known & extremely popular web designer (Article to learn how to design websites without coding skills).
