Gothic Digital Wallpaper Art

Among my favorite art is digital art, and within that genre, one of my favorites is Gothic wallpaper, which in most cases is very captivating and captures terrific moments, scenes and makes strong statements.

I guess you could call it more like dark Gothic wallpaper, which some people identify it as, but that's probably only about half of it, the other Gothic is just a interesting and compelling to me, and really fascinating to look at and enjoy.
Just like the Gothic lifestyle, Gothic wallpapers are unique to each individual person, as you'll see in the many Gothic wallpapers I included here.
Now if many of them would be taken from computer wallpaper to being wallpaper for your home walls, that would be really cool. Of course you would need to really like dark and red colors, as that is what most the Gothic wallpaper artists work with.

Gothic Wallpaper Themes

While there are almost endless Gothic wallpaper themes, there are some that are used a lot more than others, which include Gothic girls, Gothic fantasy art, Gothic angels, Gothic fairies and Gothic horror, among others.
Either way, there are a lot of cool ones to find and put up on your computer, and here are a number of ones I really like. See what you think.

Gothic Girl walking, holding umbrella

What I liked about this Gothic wallpaper was the interesting girl, who was portrayed a lot differently than woman are usually presented, and that not only makes it different, but adds something to it.
Of course the umbrella, which is always popular in Goth culture is nice, and of course the moon and fog around the legs make it a pretty cool Gothic wallpaper.

Female ghost haunted house Gothic wallpaper

This is another unusual Gothic wallpaper. I like the female ghost and the aura surrounding her. It seems that the house is calling her to it, and she's responding.
One thing I think that could have been better is the house could have looked a lot darker and foreboding. It's a little too tame, but the woman ghost is great.

Dark, Shadowy Gothic Wallpaper

This Gothic wallpaper seems simple when you first look at it, but it's really well done, and the way it was put together is awesome to me.
Look at the shadow to the right which somehow blends in to the dark hair of the person. And that one eye peeking out of the hair while the hair on the other side covers the other eye is very effective.

Gothic Angel Playing Bass Guitar

When you first look at this Gothic wallpaper you think: huh? At least that was my first reaction. But then you go over it a little and it's pretty cool. Some of the things don't seem to match are apparently haphazardly put together, but then you look and some if it begins to make sense.
Now when I say it makes sense, I mean in a way that it goes together, but in more of a puzzle sort of way, than a way that is meant to fit into our conceptions.
For example, you have the Greek-style pillars in the background, with an Asian-angel woman playing what you expect to be a harp, but then when you look at first it looks like a bass, then you realize it's a bass guitar.
Obviously that's what the creator of this Gothic wallpaper was attempting to do, and from that point of view it's pretty cool.

Gothic Wallpaper - Woman with umbrella

I really liked this Gothic wallpaper. First the positioning of the woman, which is much different than the usual centering of what you think the main them or figure of the wallpaper is.
Than the nice purple dress and black corset and umbrella which go together nicely. That background color was also really well done, as it offsets the woman well.

Gothic Wallpaper woman holding glass

I found this wallpaper post interesting in the that the hand holding the glass is its focus, and the red glass and the black fingernail polish look good.
One thing I thought of when viewing it is it would have really looked good if her face wasn't shown, and the glass and hand stood alone in front of the red and black shadowy background.

Woman holding cross Gothic Wallpaper

This was a also very different to me, in that the artist chose to contrast the blond or golden hair of the woman, along with the gold sleeve on the right, and put that against the cross and dark background. Nice effect.

Gothic Wallpaper - The Crow

What catches you immediately when you look at this wallpaper is the face of what appears to be the character from "The Crow." That face stands out, and you can almost feel his gaze upon you.
The sense that he's close to the sky standing on the ledge of the building is powerful, and you think he's waiting for something to come about to push him into action.

Gothic Wallpaper woman in cave

When I saw this I had the immediate sense that I was inside a cave looking out at this young woman, who seems to be deep in heavy thought.
Oddly, the idea of looking at the skull doesn't seem to bother her, neither the bats in the background, which imply something dark and dangerous is afoot.

Gothic Grim Reaper Wallpaper

Everything about this Gothic wallpaper I like. It's like you're looking out from life knowing the fate of us all, and yet the light in the midst of darkness speaks of something better.
The grim reaper is out there waiting, and is patient for the time everyone eventually must face. Great Gothic wallpaper.

Fascinating Gothic Wallpapers

I hope you enjoyed these Gothic wallpapers, which are all very unique and fantastic to me. Art and design is one of my major enjoyments, and Gothic is an area that while many times dark and foreboding, can at other times be fantastic and extraordinary. These ones include a little bit of both.
